Sports & Athletic Massage in Athens
Recovery-focused work for people who train — before an event or after one.
Athletic massage borrows from deep tissue work but organises it around how you actually train. Your therapist will ask what you do, what is sore and whether you have anything coming up, then works accordingly — flushing and mobilising if you are recovering, brisker and more stimulating if you are competing soon.
Typical focus areas are calves, hamstrings, quads, glutes and the shoulders and forearms for anyone who lifts or climbs. Stretching is often included.
It suits runners, cyclists, gym regulars and anyone training consistently enough that recovery has become the limiting factor. You do not need to be an athlete — the techniques work just as well on someone who has taken up running this year.
Available as 45, 70 or 100 minutes. If you are booking around an event, tell us the date so we can adjust intensity: deep work is best kept a few days clear of a race.
